Building for the Future of Educational Technology:
A Capital Campaign for the Educational Communications and Technology Foundation

Why have a Capital Campaign?

To raise revenue for support of the programs and activities of ect and the AECT. These include scholarships, awards, and research. The campaign is the result of a joint initiative of the Boards of Directors of the ect Foundation and AECT.

A sixteen-member Board of Trustees governs the ect Foundation The ect Board elects trustees for three-year terms of office. They are responsible for Foundation activities, including development and administration of supported programs, solicitation of contributions and management of funds. The executive committee monitors the Foundation's funds between semi-annual meetings to insure appropriate and legal compliance with donors' wishes.

The Educational Communications and Technology (ect) Foundation is a non-profit organization for charitable and educational purposes that has made a substantial commitment in support of AECT. These purposes reflect the belief that instruction can be improved with new systems for learning and with assessment of techniques for the communication of information. In addition to awarding scholarships, internships, and fellowships, the Foundation funds leadership-training programs for AECT.
